“The objective of this first meeting is to explore and build trust between the coach and the student”
The First Meeting: Preparatory Meeting
The First Coaching Meeting is the first contact between a student and a coach.
This first contact is extremely important in order to:
- explore 'the reasons that prompted the student to contact us',
- understand the objectives of the student and/or parents,
- find out and discuss the student's/parents' problems,
- explore the types of coaching suitable for a particular need or problem and the coaching application,
- decide on the type of coaching needed for a particular case,
- explain the private coaching cycle program.
For the first meeting, no preparation on the part of parents or student is necessary. And no binding agreement is required for this meeting. In this meeting the coach will explain the concept of Edu-Coaching to the student and parents.
This first meeting will last for about one and a half hour. The objective of this first meeting is to explore and build trust between the coach and student/parents. However the coach has the right to refuse a student if coaching is deemed unnecessary
